PMS- Pantone Matching System is largely a standardized color reproduction system. By standardizing the colors, different manufacturers in different locations can all refer to the Pantone system to make sure colors match without direct contact with one another.

Spot Color is any color generated by an ink. Process color is the use of CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow and a “key” color- usually black). These colors are printed in layers so that they blend to make more colors.

Simulated Process is the use of specific colors that are printed in halftones so that they blend together to create more colors.

Digital Printing is a process that is done on a specialized machine. It is four color process printing using water based inks. This process can only be done on light color shirts and is the most environmentally friendly type of printing. It works great for photo realistic designs.
